"Klondike" Located in the South March Elementary School (Kanata) has been in operating since 2009 and provides care to:
*Kindergarten children
*School Age children up to 12 years of age
Children’s Village at Klondike is a Child Care Centre that offers full day care to Toddlers and Preschoolers and an
Extended Day Program to Kindergarten and School Aged children. The program is licensed by The Ministry of
Education and regulated under the Child Care and Early Years Act. Children’s Village at Klondike is a Child Care
Program operated by The Children’s Village of Ottawa-Carleton, a nonprofit charitable organization.
Our program is staff by qualified RECE’s and offers a structured and well supervised program that operates
7:00 am to 5:45 pm Monday to Friday. In accordance with the CCEYA, we offer a staff to child ratio of 1:5 for
toddler aged children and 1:8 for Preschool aged children. A daily morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack is
provided by our full time chef.
The Kindergarten and School Age rooms at Klondike are flooded with natural light. They are furnished with natural colours,woods, plants and trimmings to make it a warm and nurturing space to learn and grow. The children's beautiful creations help fill the rooms with love and personality. Our focus is to present a stimulating and educational experience, rich in potential that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of each individual child.
Hours of Operation:
7:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m. Monday to Friday.
